One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
"...it's hard for something to grow
on something that's moving."
Most will agree that this movie is well worth the 133 minutes. This is for different reason of course for example, some may like it because they find it humerous with a good story to back it, others may like it for its message, and others for its cinemetography. Regardless theres something in this movie for everyone to take a liking to. Personally, I enjoy the actiong most in a movie and Jack Nicholsen definately did a supurb job in that area. He was able to make you hate him for being such a duche bag but love him for the same exact reason. Nicholsen along with the rest of the cast were so convincing and had such good chemestry on screen, The first time I saw this movie I thought certian characters like Cheswick and Scanlon actually belonged to some sort of mental hospital.(Mind you I was about 10, and not that bright) Overall I think Mike Fenton and Jane Feinberg did the best possible job when choosing the cast.

He's going for second!The ball's in to deep right center!Davidson, over in the corner,
cuts the ball off!_Here comes the throw.Richardson's around the dirt!He slides, he's in there.

Obviously behind every cast there is a person giving them direction. Although in this movie I think the actors fed off of eachothers energy and really got deep into and Milos Forman's direction ontop of that produced this classic film.
"Miss Ratched's one of the finest nurses we've got in this institution."
A lot of times when I watch a movie I'll like the actors and some of the better lines they deliver but more times than none I end up hating the story line. Another reason I love this movie is because I actually like the story. I think its got a lot to say about people in general. The way people treat others or form stereotypical lables based on outward apperences. Its hard to put into words exactly what I mean by that ,but if you get a chance to catch the movie or already have I think you can understand where Im coming from. The whole story of a man pretending to be mentally unstable to get out of some jail time and finding friends and possibly himself on the way is just vary appealing to me for some reason.

To be honest Ive never read the actual novel One Flew Over the Cukoo's Nest by Ken Kesey so I dont know the differences between the book and the movie but I appreciate him writing this novel. Without the book there would be no movie.
